 About Us The Friends of Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park is a charitable non-profit organization established to promote, enhance, and stimulate growth of Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park. We work with the park staff to help provide outdoor activities for not only our campers but also the youth in our community.  Through the help of grants, sponsors, matches, and fund raisers we are able to provide the park and staff with needed equipment. Pictured at left is Park Ranger Aaron Schapley, President Malinda Florence, and Historian Clara Nell Morisette presenting him with a backpack with first-aid gear for hiking trips.  Summer intern, J.C., leads an orienteering activity with campers and park visitors using compasses provided by the Friends. Many other supplies for summer activities were purchased by the Friends.
