The Friends of Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park is a charitable non-profit organization established to promote, enhance, and stimulate growth of Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park. We work with the park staff to help provide outdoor activities for not only our campers but also the youth in our community.

 

 

Wal-Mart gives a $1000 grant to the "Friends Group!"  This is our second time to be selected for this grant! Thank You Wal-Mart!! Pictured is Sandy Fullerton, Personnel Manager, presenting the check to Alisa Blackmon, Friends group President.

 

Through the help of grants, sponsors, matches, and fund raisers we are able to provide the park and staff with needed equipment.  Pictured at left is Park Ranger Aaron Schapley, Vice-President Malinda Florence, and Secretary Clara Nell Morisette presenting him with a backpack with first-aid gear for hiking trips.
